Trains in Spain are generally quick, cheap, comfortable and reliable. The nearest major station is Xátiva, which is on the main line between Valencia and Alicante. There are many more trains from Valencia (up to 3 an hour) than from Alicante (typically 5 or 6 a day). Taxis are available outside the station; just ask to be taken to Barxeta (fare around €15), phone us on 96 221 4360, and we’ll meet you on the edge of the village – or we can collect you from Xátiva by arrangement.
